You may receive an email notifying you of a payment due or recently paid for renewing a Norton Antivirus or McAfee Antivirus subscription.
As of May 2022, there have been an increase in these types of emails. They are generally scams.
If you have a subscription, you should be able to go to the official website to confirm your subscription status. Don’t respond by email or phone to any suspicious requests. Instead go to the trusted source.
Also, as with any questionable email, text, phone call, or other message, contact a friend or tech advisor before taking action. It will just take a few minutes to get a second opinion.

Below is a sample McAfee email. The Estimate number and a number beginning with GS have been redacted. Also, the contact email address at the bottom has been covered. It is a tip-off that the customer support email listed is a Hotmail address.
